“The problem with peace…” So that’s about the extent of my sermon for this week so far. So obviously with about half an hour of “appropriate” time to work on it I decide to blog. “Appropriate” is the time I have assigned to my official work days (Tuesday-Friday 9-5) I often work earlier and latter but that is unofficial, as well as Saturdays when I touch up my message/write it (this week though I will be in Ponoka or Edmonton). Sundays of course I work as well but that is kinda gong showish as I never know what to count as work and what to count as fun and what to count as just good ol’ worship.
Quote for the day, I ran into an old high school friend that thought it was hilarious that I was a pastor. Apparently I did not put out that vibe in high school. Anyway after laughing in my face he asked in all seriousness; “So when pastors get all wise and discerning and stuff?” . Good question, It’s going to be a long night better get to work. Love ya kids

You know Tim, if you ever get a chance, I'd love to read a post about Erika, who she is, where you met her... All of the sudden I just heard that you were engaged. I don't even know when you're getting married!
Its pretty lame to be able to track your romance through a blog, or anything on line for that matter so I am glad that this does not do it justice, but you can check out these in the archives to get an idea of what’s been going on. I’ll try to fill in some more recent info latter. Catcha avey

We are getting married
PS in my defence if I had not known people in her picture I would never have looked into something like that so don't judge me ok!
Hey Tim, if you are looking for some good sermon helps I would highly recommend Concordia Pulpit Resources if you dont have a subscription already. They provide good articles on preaching as well as some really terrific sermon ideas. I use it whenever I get stuck and they are a huuuuuge help. In fact, they had an advent series in the last issue that I am using this month. Just a thought. If you are interested in something like that you should take it to the elders or council as the church should be providing for your needs that way...
oh tim. those where really cute posts. I'm really excited for you. being married is pretty fun.
